Um, yeah, hey everybody, okay? Did you guys know that, um, I'm picking up the many colloquialisms, you know, the vernacular of my Mommy and Daddy, okay? It's really cool. I just pick up all of these little phrases that I hear all around me. I surprise the Momsters and Dadsters, those two crazy kids, ALL the time with new things.
Just the other day, after Daddy picked me from daycare, we just got out of the car and I turn to Daddy, point my finger at him, and with a really serious, frowny face, say, "No... hitting, Daddy. No pushing. Make other kids cry. No pulling hair! No no, Daddy!"
Oh that Daddy.
Well, the funny thing is, um, well, that was me! I fooled you guys, right? Daddy wasn't doing any of those things at daycare. It was... sigh... me. You know I'm only two, right? But, you see, there are these kids, all up in my grill, telling me this and that, saying crazy things like, "That's my toy." And I'm like, "No, I had this toy FIRST." I mean, I do have great linguistic skills for a person my age, but when someone's messing with my toys, I just gotta lay down the law, okay?
Okay, so I've been told by both Mommy and Daddy on maybe more than one occasion that hitting is naughty. I AM usually really good at daycare, but, man, when someone's stepping on my territory, I just gotta represent, okay?
Another kind of cool thing that I like to do when I get home is... scare Mommy! First off, Daddy and I have this thing when we're driving up the hill of our street, and we know that Mommy is gonna be home, we say, "Who's that lady! ... It's Mommy!" We then go into the garage... get out of the car... and I say I wanna scare Mommy... and then... I forget... to scare Mommy... and then she scares ME! I jump at first but then I laugh Really Loud. I like being scared. It's an adrenaline rush.
Speaking of an adrenaline rush, or something like that, did you know that I had to go to the hospital? This is no joke. Daddy and I were just chillin' in our basement, playing up a storm. We had all of these different balls out: Footballs, basketballs, baseballs. None of them totally real, except for one actual football. So we were just throwing them up in the sky, like we normally do (and Daddy is very careful whenever I have the real football, and watches me like a hawk), and Daddy was sitting on the futon, while I had the Nerf football in my hand. Well, I took one step to throw the ball, and there was ANOTHER ball by my feet. Next thing Daddy knows, I tripped and bonked my head on the sharp edge of the wooden futon. At first he thought it was just a bruise, but then he felt the wetness, and then Daddy didn't feel so good. Long story short, Mommy and Daddy took me to the hospital and I had to get staples in my head! How cool is that? I did cry some, but I really was acting my normal self. At one point while we were waiting in our hospital room, I impatiently cried out, "Doctor!" For some reason Mommy and Daddy shushed me, but I was like, C'mon man, this cut isn't going to staple itself, okay? But I'm all better now, and I didn't even cry when my pediatrician took out the staples 10 days later. I'm awesome!
Speaking of me being awesome, did you know that I'm like a Boss? For Christmas, I got this Hard Hat that says I'm the Boss from my Aunt Jo. You know, it's pretty darn fitting. One of my other phrases that I like to say a lot is, I DO IT. I mean, everyone needs to chill out, you know. I mean, for real. I told my Mommy one time, "Chill out." She couldn't believe what I just told her. But I was for real. She needed to Chill Out. If there's a job that needs to be done, and I can do, I DO IT. Dogs need to go outside? I DO IT. Dogs need to come back in? I DO IT (with maybe some help). If the dogs need to be fed? I DO IT. I put food in both dishes, but I just carry Lola's dish and Daddy carries Bella's. One man can only do so much, okay?
So yeah, in addition to that Hard Hat, I got a ton of sweet and cool things for Christmas. Grandma Nancy got me this sweet 'Puter, which is called a LeapFrog. It's like an iPad for kids. I love playing with it! I got some cool Kidz Bop videos on there, like Kid-Kesha's "Tik Tok," which I LOVE, along with some really fun games like Stretchy Monkey and Feed Your Pet. Mommy and Daddy got me this BIG Jeep, which has an actual electric motor in it and I can actually drive. I am sliiiightly too young right now for it. I LOVE sitting in it, but as for actually using the pedals... eh, not so much. But that's okay. Mimi and Papi got me a ton of cool gifts, so many that we couldn't fit them all in our Pilot. Still, we brought home a House, a Grill, and a Really Big Digger, and they're all awesome! I love cooking hot dogs and hamburgers and feeding it to Mommy and Daddy. Good times!
Anyway, things are going really well in the Jacob Household. One thing that we all enjoy is Music. Mommy and Daddy are introducing me to all kinds of Cool Music. One of my favorite bands now is The Lumineers (I say it like, Lum-in-ears), and their really cool and my favorite song, The Hey Song. I hope you all enjoy their video! I ask to listen to this song ALL THE TIME. In the car... at our house... I even ask if random toys that make sounds can play The Hey Song. It's a great song! I hope to see everyone soon again!
